Hey, was wondering why you don’t count/calculate/include carbs or fats?

MadenB ~ Hi, thanks for asking. Through the decades long journey of weight loss/gain, aka yo-yo dieting, I’ve done it all, including counting macros and, for me, macros other than protein and fiber don’t really matter for my goals. Weight loss, which is my ultimate goal, comes down to being in a calorie deficit. Keeping and building muscle is important to me, too, and I know that when my diet is high in fiber that I tend to be more satisfied in general with my day of eating. I get that a lot of people like to keep tabs on their carbs, fat, sodium, sugar, etc., but I’m honestly just not concerned at this point. Experience is the worst teacher, as in, I wasted a lot of head space, time, and energy focused on those things when the results weren’t any better, instead of just listening to and correctly applying the CICO method (without being extreme about it).

I understand 🙂 I’m busy with carb cycling as part of a course exactly to do the opposite of crash dieting and picking up the weight again. My account doesn’t share my posts for some reason but some of my followers get to see my updates, hope you see them do you can see if the results are good. If they are I will let you know 😊
