Have to get off my fat arse more, lower my cholesterol & lower my blood sugar (A1C). Have to go back in 3 months for lab work to re-test. Thank you Captain Obvious, tell me something I don't already know lol. Good news, this fat arse has a strong heart, kidneys, liver, reflexes, eye movement, etc. 💪

Doc said if I don't get my A1C down below 7% in 3 months he'll be prescribing me Ozempic, Jardine or some sh*t. I did not do well on Metformin, had major side affects & took myself off of it years ago. Don't they know there are several class action lawsuits against Ozempic...um hello. These doctors are drug pushers in my opinion. They can keep their drugs & shove it up their wazoos! I'll work harder on improving my A1C & whatever else their stupid charts read. I will be fine.

My neighbor was on Ozempic and it really messed with her hormonally. She'll never do it again. I fight diabetes with keto and since it's really stubborn, going carnivore. I'm hoping that when I lose some weight I can enjoy an occasional avocado or some such. Maybe trying a diet you haven't tried yet - finding something that will actually work for you. Fastiing helps me break weight plateaus. That, and not being lazy with my diet. /sigh

I agree with you regarding Ozempic. When I hear the laundry list of side effects on tv ads I cringe. The so-called charts these physicians want all of us to follow is absurd. It's not a "one size fits all". Everyone is different, my body does not handle medications and shots well. We will just have to experiment and listen and feel how our bodies react to different things. Good luck and thank you for your support. ❤️💪

My brother in law is on Wegovy, he was when we last spoke a couple of months ago, he said he loses about 1lb a day on it, he is boastful that he has not had to change his eating, or exercise, that to me rings alarm bells in my head. He wont be on it forever, and what is to stop him piling it all back on again. These things are only going to work if we use the time while on the drug to develop a new lifestyle.

Yes, from what I've heard Wegovy is just as bad as Ozempic and the other drug Oprah pushes. I don't like needles I can barely tolerate sugar meter pricks. The keto gummies is a joke I see ads on this is fake too. You're right, it needs to be a lifestyle change not just physically but mental. It's not just diet and exercise that factors your weight loss, if you have a stressful job or if you have something in your life that's upsetting stress can cause weight gain too. It makes me sick that these celebrities use Ozempic or medications diabetics need use the medications to lose 5-15 lbs. I looked into the Ro weight loss stuff, the price per injection shot is absurd. No thanks.

People get desperate, I personally get desperate, and companies prey on those desperate, society makes us feel ugly for being even slightly over weight. Just a few weeks ago, a lad was laughing and shouting fat cow at me when I was walking. that is how people make us feel. I said back to him at least I am doing something to improve my life, what are you doing to improve yours, oh yeh, abusing people in the street to feel good about yourself. This is one sick world.

A guy once almost hit me with his car (in a crosswalk) and didn't like that I called him on it. He called me 'fat'. 'Oh no!' Thought I...'he called me fat!' Like insulting me was going to hurt my feelings rather than the fact that he almost ran me over. Der.

I agree. I'm sorry you both have had unpleasant names called at you.

This is not meant to insult in anyway, but me being british, Though it will sound as such, I noticed this straight away that Americans love to argue, my hubby included, he could have a personality clash with a lamp post, but if he argues with someone over their poor driving for example, the argument rarely is about the incident, but more about what insults they can throw each other, personal insults, I have asked my hubby why they are like that, and he never has a real answer, but in short, both have to have the final word, and both are right, even when they are insulting and swearing at each other. and when they have nothing to say, they make it even more personal, and fat always comes into it. yet he has said on his own online posts that what someone looks like doesn't matter, etc.

Haha yes very true, your hubby is right. I have no idea why people are so argumentative over the most dumbest things too.
