well.... I feel horrible.... my husband was trying to be nice and take me out. went to a soup and sandwich place it was friggin carb central...why not a steak joint??? so I got the turkey chili.... 30 some odd carbs . 23 net carbs... dear god!!! ... my stomach is killing me and I don't get any more carbs the rest of the day. brutal. sooo brutal. ..

I hate that carb pain. I know just how you feel. It is brutal.

here's another thought, if your tummy is up to it, i usually have eggs when i'm close to or over my daily carb limit. virtually no carbs, but good fat and protein!

I know exactly what you are saying about your hubby...mine is the same way...just not an emotional guy...and I love him like that..he's a Virgo to the letter...lol. I have gastroparesis and gluten intolerance, so I commiserate with your tummy issues as well. We are going out for brunch on Valentines Day, and I let him choose the restaurant... Last year he chose a restaurant that USUALLY serves lots of meat choices, but they were doing a Vday brunch...menu didn't look very Atkin's-friendly...but if I had complained, we would probably be staying home this year...lol. Hopefully your tummy feels better soon...
