So I guess after careful consideration I am going to switch things up a little bit. I am now going for a low cal diet instead of Atkins. Not that Atkins doesn't work but it isn't working for me at this time.

We will see how it goes over the next couple weeks and then I will re-evaluate.

Well when you switch from low carb to adding carbs back in, you may see an initial gain. It doesn't mean counting calories won't work. Low carb (high protein) pushes water out of cells and carbs take it in. So find a good caloric intake for your age, height, activity level, sex, etc. How many you can eat and lose is an individual thing. I would slowly add carbs back in to your diet. Start by a piece of fruit and extra vegetable. If you just start eating a lot of carbs, you may see a big gain on the scale which could deter you. Good luck!

hey Bamabowhunter, I have said just what you said so many times. But you know what I always come back to Atkins or some sort of LCHF way of eating. We all come to a stall on this diet or any diet. I have lost & gained that same "1" pound over and over for the last 6 or 8 weeks. But I know if I don't just stay with it, I'll be gaining more in the long run. Good luck to ya on what ever you decide.
