This is my favourite meal at the moment, it helps me lose weight fast and in a few days i got my cousin's wedding and i promised myself last year that i wont be obese to anymore weddings. Path so far is hard, distractions everywhere, fast foods, bakeries, temptation is literally everywhere but discipline is keeping me on track, god bless you all who are committed to positive change!

Hummus, with cooked quinoa and chickpeas ( the main ingredient in hummus), and arugula with cucumbers as a light salad.

The salad looks great, but the other dish looks awfully stodgy! Its probably the quinoa that's as bad for you as rice and potatoes! I stopped eating that stuff a long time ago.

And just how is quinoa bad for you, GP? Many consider it a superfood.

Quinoa is an excellent stand alone food - it has complete protein/amino acids, fiber, carb, and low fat. There are different colors, and it has a nutty flavor. It can also take on the flavor of other foods, which is handy if you need to bolster the nutrition of your meal. I usually keep it to 90g cooked or less, which is 20g carbs, and it's very filling.
