Dee 0927's Journal, 07 Jan 16

I am hoping to be able to carve out small windows of time to accomplish my goals.

Priority, I need quiet time to rest and unwind. I would like to set aside time pray and read the bible.

I will make a plan for each area of my life and develop a strategy then put together resources to achieve them.

ONE OF THE RESOURCES IS THE WEBSITE AND THE MANY PEOPLE WHO ENCOURAGE AND SHARE.

I am hoping to use the website more as I learn how to add posts and plans to record and share. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

In the same way we're told to automate finances and "pay yourself first" or we tell our kids to designate a time each day for homework, carve out your time in a non-negotiable way. If you wait to "fit it in", it won't happen and you'll get frustrated. Even if you only take 15 minutes at the beginning of your day, to start, you'll set yourself up for success. I love that you're putting you "in the mix" again. So often, we do it for everyone except us....

Definitely a necessary thing to do. But found I am less frustrated with a back up "time". The two trips with my son to the emergency room is one of the unexpected changes that take priority. The times like that create many challenges but I am grateful that this time it was not me. I can correct the interruption and get back on course. Last time I was in car accident; now that was a set back that created a total do over. Thankful for each day of success. Hoping to begin improving my life style to be healthy and manageable. My son graduates this year - last semester of home schooling and a game changer. All my babies will be grown and complete from my assisting with school. (not counting grandkids) but they are in a different house with their mom. So, for the first time my life will be focused on me. Believe it or not scary thought. But setting goals - listing resources and lack of - and gathering needed tools and refresher courses. It will help me take it one step at a time.

I understand the scary thought of focusing only on you. Consider it an adventure. There is no "wrong" answers, just testing theories. Find things that please you and repeat.
