You will be ok. I gained 40 lbs with my pregnancy and 12 years later I’m still trying to lose the weight 😬. I think I heard with subsequent pregnancies you gain faster so don’t stress too much about it. Sending you 💜

Make sure you keep your doc in the loop on this weight gain. Watch your salt intake, eat foods that are natural diuretics. If you don’t have a blood pressure machine it might be a good idea to get one and monitor your pressures. Be sure to take the BP in both arms.

Don’t stress too much about the gain. You’re active. Just make sure you nourish your body well. ❤️❤️

I hope you're feeling ok, Daze. I had a similar thing happen to me during my pregnancy. But the edema didn't start until the third trimester. They saw protein in my urine test at a routine apt at 32 weeks and sent me straight to the hospital. I had really bad preeclampsia. How's your blood pressure, girly?

Great actually!! Stays around 120/80. My weight went back down today thankfully. The compression socks helped! Drank lots of water/electrolytes, rest and napped balanced with walking...because of thyroid meds, they are having me take low dose aspirin to help prevent pre-eclampsia.

That's good, so glad to hear it! It took me two months to get my blood pressure under control after I had my babies. Those meds were awful, they made me so tired. I was on the baby aspirin as well, but it didn't help.

Thanks for sharing!! I had no idea pre-eclampsia could affect post-partum like that.
