Don't ever give up. I used to think that 200 lbs would be "just the way" it was with me as I got older. I'd hovered at that weight (196 to 203) for more than a decade...literally all through my 30's. But it took me until this year to discover that it's not a permanent sentence. I weighed less in my teens and 20's. I gained for a reason, so there is a way to reverse it. Low carb worked for me, but it wasn't the only thing I did. I eat reduced portions, too. And I began "moving" more, whether it was housework, walking, taking "move breaks" at my desk job. Also I started eating more veggies & drinking more water instead of "prepared meals" (frozen pizzas or nukeable dinners) and sugary beverages. I bake or grill now instead of frying everything. There's no one fix for anyone. No miracle diet pill, or miracle diet for that matter. But learning how your body reacts to certain foods and acting upon that knowledge to get your body to burn the fat and build muscle does work! No one has to be "FAT forever" if they don't want to. You can lose weight and be healthy. So, don't ever give up on yourself.
