So after a bit of a disappointing week, weight loss wise, I decided I needed to kick my butt and get back on the wagon!
I need to stop slacking about what I'm eating and focus on keeping my calories in check since I'm burning less since I'm now smaller.
I've also been finding that I don't feel my workouts are as challenging as they used to be, so I've decided I need to kick my butt on that front too.
So today I didn't really get the food totally under control (I am still thinking my calories might be a bit underestimated given some of the things I had for dinner - plus chocolate cake... mmmm.... chocolate cake... but I digress). So tomorrow I'm going to really focus on getting my calories back under control.
The success for today was my workout. I did 45 minutes of cardio, which wasn't terribly hard, but I felt that it was a much better workout than what I had been doing before. I still did the modified C25K workout, but kept going. So I did a 5 minute warmup, and then for the next 20 minutes did my intervals of 30 seconds of running and 2 minutes walking and then was at 25 minutes, so for the next 20 minutes, I did faster walking and hills (so being on incline of 5/10 instead of 2/10).
I also did arm weights, and increased the weights I used up 5 pounds - so where I was using 5 pounds, I used 10 and where I was using 10 pounds, I used 15. Small increases in the weights, but in the long run, I'm hoping that eventually the 25 pounds will be too light! LOL
So I'm feeling pretty good about working harder in my workout than before!
