a very short trail within walking distance of my current residence. I was luckily able to enjoy it on a beautiful day. :) Loving this and occasionally daydreaming about living in an area with more trees than cars...

Thank you FoodyD and Honee, I am reminding myself how lucky I am... I know I would prefer something significantly more rural, but I am glad I am here for now. In any location, there are going to be conditions that I'd not prefer... but I am here now. And this trail is beautiful. Thanks for the opportunity to dwell on good fortune. 💙

Writing, for sure! I found it recently, too. Such a treat for someone like me living in an area like this... felt like I'd struck gold. In a very real way, sharing nature with others is a way I express love. My youngest appreciates nature in the same way I do. So we trade stories of beautiful outside moments and places that might create them.

Kat, I was a little uncomfortable, to be honest, taking that much time away from what I thought was more 'productive.' Then I remembered I'd die one day... and decided to go outside. When have we done enough to justify moments like this? I'm sure the answer is different for everyone, but if I can get away with it, I choose to... every time.
