It’s weird. I’d never thought I would ever say this but I now actually look forward to exercising. I registered a loss in weight this week and knocked another inch off my waist. Oh. I. Am. So. Very. Pumped!!!

My 5 day exercise regime started on 27 July. My starting weight on that day was *gasp* 192.5 pounds / 87.3 kilos / 13 stone 10 pounds.

As of today, I’ve lost 8.5 inches off my waist, hips, thighs and arms and lost 7 pounds / 3 kilos / half a stone.

I had a bit of a shock last week when I mentioned knee pain in an earlier post and the level of concern that brought.

I am happy to say, I did not quit. I am also happy that this new phase HIIT exercise puts more focus on my core and upper body, which are weak weak weak.

I still have to do some squats and lunges so I have improved my form. The knee braces are off and am feeling way better than I did last week. Happy day. I’m feeling so inspired.

I may slow down but I. WILL. NOT. STOP. Quitting is not an option. I want this. Happy Friday, folks!

Its good that you enjoy exercise, and that you look forward to the next session. That's a great positive mental attitude. If you keep doing something consistently it becomes a habit. and then you don't even think of in in terms of "I must not quit!", you just think of it as "Something I just do". (Do you see the difference?)

... or even better "Something I love doing!"

Agreed, Giles. My focus is shifting. Slowly. I'm finding now that I don't want to miss. I'm seeing the changes happen and I'm very excited and proud of myself.

Me too. I took a photo of myself the other day to demonstrate an idea I had, about a way to hold a barbell, to do a low centre of gravity squat. I was quite surprised by the change in appearance of my muscles, compared to what I looked like last year.

That's awesome, Giles. I feel so good today, I could just burst. I haven't felt like this in a long time.
