Lululoveskittens's Journal, 01 Sep 15

I haven't recorded over the weekend as I lost track of being good - now its Tuesday and I feel anxious and guilty and only having 32 days left till I leave for the US again I am beating myself up :0( I need to be a lot stricter at weekends and not just drink more and pick at things I know aren't good for me like white bread. I think i need to make sure there are alternatives that I do enjoy available - to avoid the temptation. And I have said this many times before but the booze has to go for a few weeks - apart from making me tired, I am just consuming empty calories. I know I am doing well still exercising but if I can just keep focussed on my trip for the next few weeks an take it day by day - surely I can get down to 140lbs??? I just have to keep my willpower as firm as possible as much as possible....

stop beating yourself up, ok so a little blip, the best way is to get back on the train and continue your journey. Instead of bread, and I know bread is so comforting, use Ryvita crackers instead to nibble on. Cant help with the drink, that will be down to you, I know people will say add water or soda but the its not the same, besides have you ever tried wine and water. What you could do is alternate, one glass of wine followed by one glass of water, at least it will reduce consumption by half, plus you will start feeling full with the water. yes you can do it, it is attainable don't ever think it isn't stay positive

Hi, I love wine and not just any wine but the heavy red Malbecs at 13% minimum... You know, the real calorie packed jobbies. I've started doing as suggested above - I have wine with my evening meal (and brush my teeth after eating - I've yet to find a wine that tastes good after brushing your teeth) I have two wine glasses - one with my wine and the other with sparkling water and alternate between the two. Oddly, if I have water in a tumbler it doesn't seem the same. I don't know if it's the familiar feel of the glass that I associate with wine and drinking from a tumbler I associate with 'thirsty' drinking of juice or something but whatever it is, it works for me. Sorry you're feeling down, especially when you are so close to your target. You will do it, I have every faith, we're all right behind you.
