abbadabba's Journal, 10 Sep 09

Today I got under 1000 calories! Yeah. That comes out a little high in points, but I am just trying to stay level! Slow day at work, and tomorrow is Friday (yippee!) and Monday I go south - different project and a 30 mile one way commute! Blah.

Saturday I get to chaperone 20 teenagers on their chorale retreat. That should be fun. The group my daughter is involved in is full of sincere and friendly kids! They have a great teacher. She is happy this year!

My crazy brother has not shown up to do over my bathroom! My cousin lost his phone and hasn't called me! I am never getting my remodeling done. I will be getting a storage unit though to clear out all the junk!

Today I had a pre-made salad tonight and it was huge! I also added some grated broccoli stem and some tofu. The tofu was too firm and wouldn't absorb the salad dressing, but I like tofu, so next time I'll season it before I put it in the salad. Yummy.

The scale is not cooperating but I can't worry about it.

Great job on the low calorie day!!!! Happy dance!!! Bummer about your remodeling issues - sometimes working with family is hard. Good luck with your chaperoning night - that many teenagers in one area can be scary!! HUGS!

You are so right not to worry about the stubborn scale. Great attitude! We have been through that situation with family and handy man work. One of the most unpleasant episodes occurred when my brother-in-law showed up to "help." His WIFE did not WANT him to be here so she came along to "wait" while he hung some doors. I was stuck with her all day. She was resentful. Oh my! As for your day with enthusiastic teenagers - Welcome to my world! Aren't kids great! I just love - love - love 'em!
