Morning All,
Any one have any views about BMI v Body fat? Which is better

I have a target of 22 BMI but people are telling me I will look like a skeleton.

Would body fat percentage be a better measure?

BMI is a very general measurement which doesn't take into account your body composition. It is useful only if taken in context to your overall health and life style. I think, for weightloss, body fat might be a better measurement. Its difficult to get an accurate reading at home but as long as you use the same method consistently you will get a rough idea of whether you are losing fat.

Good summary, I think I will have to use a combination of BMI/Body fat from my watch and something as simple as waist being half my height

I think it's a good idea to use a variety of measurements, especially early on in the process, as you learn how your body reacts. Scales, tape measures, visuals, how your clothes feel all have their place too. Good luck 🙂🤞
