It depends on how I'm using it. If I'm making a soup or stew type meal, I weigh everything raw, then measure the finished result and calculate the calories per cup (I often create a recipe to simplify the process). If I'm cooking the meat or fish separately, I weigh it after because I may be removing bones or skin or fat.

There are calorie options for both online. I weigh raw because I figure the amount of moisture I cook off can vary.

I weigh before and sometimes after and there is a formula for weighing it after I use. I don't especially think either one is all that accurate. Just my opinion as a nurse but I was a science major and see problems with both ways.

Because I cooked 6.5 oz of 93/7 burger. After cooking, it was 4oz. So the difference was moisture?

Yea moisture n fat drippings. If you look at dried meat macros, the protein content is pretty insane oz for oz

Never weigh it frozen! It will weigh more. I weigh mine before cooking. I usually try to eat between 5-6 oz at dinner. What is your daily intake of protein? My goal is 100 grams a day

I like to weigh before because that's the most accurate. But if that's not an opinion, then I measure the cooked meat out accounting for a loss of 25% of its weight.
