Going to have to guess on dinner tonight. My hubby is grilling me veggie kabobs and didn't bother to measure, and I can't find fresh grilled corn on the cob either. I also need to add grilled broccoli and cauliflower :) Mmm I love veggies on the grill! Measuring them when he surprised me and started them without me and he didn't measure not so much lol

I always over estimate when I have to estimate. That way I have a buffer for later counts. In my mind, it's better to have less than you think rather than more.

I overestimate also, just to add that padding. I'm sure I didn't eat as much as I had listed ( besides the two ears of grilled corn, no butter, those I did eat! ) I figure better safe than sorry.
