I’ve been hovering around the same weight for several weeks now, not seeing too much of a drop on the scale overall. Rather than getting frustrated I’m trying to muster up motivation to keep plugging along. Anyways… Heading out for dinner tonight with some office friends and would love the suggestions as to how to dine out while staying on track!!

Non battered fish, chicken or salad are good choices. I get a Cobb salad when I want a cheat meal. 😊

Have you been tracking success with any other measurement tool? I worked with a nutritionist for awhile and when the scale numbers stopped moving she got me to not step on the scale for a month and only take measurements. It’s shocking what your body might be doing without dropping pounds

AOitzl - thanks for this suggestion. I have only been tracking by weight, but have been mindful of clothing fit changes, which has been motivating. Many years ago I was encouraged to take measurements instead of weight, more so when I was working out and doing strength training.

my rule of thumb is stay low fat when I go out to eat. carbs and protein, okay, but I keep the fats down so any sauces, or anything with too many ingredients. generally I would do like chicken and rice and veggies of some kind. stay away from anything deep fried!

Rebecca - I ordered a pretty healthy salad, with dressing on the side as I know they are usually jam packed with calories and fats. Felt good about that. Now my coworker ordered a “fry plate” (assorted varieties of fries and dips 😫) for an appetizer for the table and it took all my will power to stick to a few fries 🤣 I think overall I did well!
