Okay so maybe I can’t have my cake and eat it too. For me, cake (and other foods like that) tend to lead to successive poor food choices in the days after. That’s not to say I can’t ever eat cake, but I do have to be aware of the domino effect. Maybe I will strategize on how to tackle the problem for the next event. This is tough. 🫠

Me too! I find that when I don't have sweets I don't crave them. But when I am in a situation where they are offered, I partake and like you my food choices seem to change for a few days. I seem to be easily tempted. I think the good thing is that you (and I) recognize it happens. I think we can have our cake and eat it too, but only once in a while. I find I have to get "back on the saddle" immediately or I start incorporating more treats in the ensuing days. Sometimes it is easier said than done, but at least I (and you) recognize it happens. Recognition is the first step!
