Awesome job running! What great scenery. Short shorts, eh? :o) A bunch of guys a few houses down all run and wear those short little shorts. I giggle every time they parade by. But hey, aerodynamics, right? ha :o) PS: I clicked on your link and got a little chill! Scary

Less to do with aerodynamics than after 6 or 7 miles, everything is soaked. The weight of wet clothes sucks, so the solution is to wear less... or run nekkid... or something like that.

Looks like you'll need something to wick away moisture. Failing that running shorts (or, as my wife calls them, "booty shorts") will do. That sounds like a nice run, good work!

Everything I wear when I run is made from wicking materials. Even my socks and hat. It's just so damn hot and humid. Everything soaks before it has a chance to evaporate. After my run Saturday I looked like I had just jumped into the lake instead of running around it.

Good point. Dallas certainly isn't as dry as Southern California. Maybe running naked isn't a bad idea...

Seriously, what's the point of wearing clothes if you're just going to get it all wet anyway? ; ) Your weekend sounds like fun!! My brother went to the WoW-con last year I think. I clicked on that link. I LOOOOOOOVE stories like that, real or not. Ooohhh...scary!

Bummer you had to endure the pain while running. Overall, good luck on the upcoming half M run.

I do agree, short shorts have "official hardcore runner" written all over them. Great job on all your running!

I know "La Llorona". I used to work with a girl that told me about her and "El Cucuy". I saw a painting one time that an artist did of La Llorona w/ the horse head... creepy.

Oh yeah, every town in Mexico talks about "La Llorona". There was even a rock shaped kind of like a chair on one of the roads in the town my parents grew up in and they told me that's where she sat waiting for her lost children. I was so scared at night the whole time we were there.

The flashlight pointing up from under your chin made it especially spooky! That's an awesome lake! Sorry the shoes gave you grief. BTW, I can't yell "I love seitan!" yet. The restaurant had tempeh not seitan and I ended up getting something different anyway. Someday I hope to love seitan!

I can't bring myself to eat tempeh. I have a strict "don't eat foods that look like brains" policy.
