husbands birthday today ... this delicious little cake came from Tescos and Im so impressed. i thought it would be a bit naff. but it was light and fluffy, sweet and tart. white choc, strawberries and vanilla. yummmmm

Thanksl u . Considering it's his first bday overseas, and I totally forgot --- a birthday cake on my way home was the least I could do for the poor guy😂 like. I have actual brain fog from adulting so hard this last year (first time in 19 years I forgot so my track record is pretty good though)

New home, country, culture definitely throws the 'norm' into turmoil. After a big move 1 year I forgot MY birthday and my 'local' friends didn't know it yet! 🤣 19 years ... Congratulations to you both ✨🎉🥳

Ah man... That's funny. Sad... But funny. I'm learning that expat fatigue is quite a common thing. So many changes fries the brain, and then the expectation is to always be enjoying the adventure, when for the most part, it can be one continuous string of bummers. I hope that you have found a good circle now ❤️
