Had a royal SNAFU today at the Hot Chocolate 15K in Atlanta. The group I was running with missed their turn and we ending up doing an extra 2 1/2 miles. Oh well, not all bad though because I've found some motivation in the mistake. First, at a 6:47 pace I would have won my age group (45-49) by 2 minutes if I stayed on the correct course. I was also able to maintain my heart rate below 150bpm at a sub-7 pace on a very hilly course, that's probably a first for me. I'll take the small wins as they come.
