I'm too scared to weigh in. I know I'm supposed to, but I just am scared it's going to tell me the same thing it did a few days ago. 154. I'm getting a little depressed thinking that I've actually gained back 3 and haven't cheated once on Phase 1. This is now My fourth week of Phase 1. Do you guys think maybe I've been on Phase 1 for too long? Or can I stick it out a little longer hopefully lose some more weight?

Any suggestions

Today I have eaten:

Cheese stick for breakfast and Venti Green Tea unsweetened from Starbucks
Phase 1 approved South Beach microwave dinner

I'm planning on making fresh brocolli steamed with a little reduced fat cheddar cheese on top and chicken sausages. Which have no sugar in them, just spices. Any body have an idea? My dad owns these ketosis strips (for Atkins) which you pee on and they tell if your body is in weight loss mode, mine was in the highest state you could be in! Then explain to me why I can't seem to get the scale to budge or even go back to 151 like I was.

XOXO

Is your boyfriend still losing weight?

No he's also on a "plateau" as we reffer to it. Do you think it could be the sugar free candy I ate last week? He and I both LOOK like we're losing weight, but not actually losing anything! I obviously should be losing weight though, because those strips which show ketosis wouldn't be showing I was in that stage if I was eating something that was screwing me up. At least I think... right? I don't know. I'm so confused. It shouldn't be this difficult. I cook all my own meals, everything is really fresh and low fat. XOXO

This sounds really weird, and I'm not sure if it will work for you...but when that happened to me the last time, I ate a bit of carbs one day (a sandwich on multi grain bread) and then returned to Phase 1. The next day I dropped. I was told by my doctor that your body has begun to accept your patterns and that mixing it in, just a bit, throws it back into burn mode. Its worked everytime I've tried it...but it could just be that my body is weird. LOL

If all else fails I'm going to do it. Thanks for the tip.

I would suggest moving on to Phase II, otherwise your body might get too used to the foods you're eating in Phase I. A lot of people do phase I for a few weeks, then go to phase II for a few weeks and juggle back and forth to keep their body guessing. I think it's the same concept that's behind weight lifting. If you do the same moves every day, every week, your body figures out what you're doing and finds ways to make it less productive. Keep your body guessing?
