I eat 3 meals a day now. I don’t snack after work anymore. No alcohol either. I stay in my calorie range and I’m moderately active. I just didn’t want or expected to see this jump this morning. I’m sure there is some explanation like water retention due to salt and/or BM irregularity but still. The number touched a nerve today.

Try not to beat yourself up. Stress, decreased sleep, increased cortisol levels…so many factors! Look at the big picture!! Look how far you’ve come! Perspective sometimes help wash away the immediate feelings of being so hard on yourself.

I have been doing diets since age 15. I'm 73 now and it's even harder post menopause. Belly fat at this age is a real problem. I value my health which is why I'm on here counting calories. I'm eating to live not living to eat. Had to cut out the wine.
