Well, what can I say? I had company again and went a bit nuts, we blissed out on hiking and eating. Sadly, my walking isn't any faster, although I did walk a nice 5.5 yesterday and felt great. On the way home I decided that getting fast enough for this 1/2 marathon in two weeks is not going to happen. I'd need to finish in 3.5 hours and that's like almost 4 miles per hour, not quite but averaged over 13.1 that's pretty fast. Its actually a running race, but I was optimistic and because its 2 hours away and would require a hotel and restaurants, I decided to give myself permission to not go. Instead I will go out camping to my favorite new site with a ten mile trail and just enjoy my walking instead. And drop these pounds again. Go FS buddies!
