So...no run tonight. At the end of class, four girls randomly invited me to dinner at the gastro pub across the street. I was just there for a makeup class, I had never met them before...and they invited me to dinner with a smile! I couldn't object.

I tried to be good and had just a small glass of wine, a turkey wrap and fresh fruit. Not horrible, sure, especially after we did near-cardio in my yoga class (Sun Salutations—a fast-paced sequence of ten up and down poses multiple times—are HARD), but it might not have been the best thing for the diet. Oh well. I decided a long time ago that I'd prefer to be a little heavier than I'd like and be social. Watch myself when I'm home and choose healthier options while I'm out, but I can't not live. If someone invites me out to to drinks I can't turn it down because it would add 200-300 calories to my diet. That's just not who I am. :)

Tomorrow is another social gathering, this time for a profession-oriented event. One of the US's largest typographers (someone who deals with type) is in town for a talk. I've been a fan of hers for two years now, so that will be exciting. The first hour is always local drinks, but I'll have just one there. :)

Aw, I love nice people. Having one drink out is not bad!!!! I had one drink out last night - but I poured it in really small doses. A little wine at a time - that has helped me keep my alcohol calories at bay. It's too hard to turn down a drink with friends that is for sure. Glad you had a good day and I hope your event goes well tonight :) It's cool to meet someone you've looked up to.
