Whoa! What happened there?! A week without running, while still sick, I ran my fastest mile since early December! I also beat my mile time from last week by a whole twenty seconds! Mind you, I wasn't even doing proper breathing technique—it was ALL mouth breathing! I'm so stunned right now it's pathetic, but it felt amazing. I feel amazing. That by itself should be a great motivator.
I wasn't even going to run a mile today because I didn't want to stretch the limits of what I could do, but when my three minute warm up run felt amazing I kept going. I then scratched the bike workout I was going to do so I didn't stretch myself too far (while I feel basically back to normal today I know I'm not completely out of the clear) and just did arms and abs.
I think I'm gonna go back tomorrow sometime, too. Gotta burn off the drinking calories! I hope we go to a place that has sangria...I want sangria...
