Ambrosine's Journal, 28 May 11

Pneumonia. I have pneumonia. Been sick in bed for more than a week. Finally saw a Dr yesterday and am on several medications. Took a slight upturn this morning, but still very sick and weak. What a way to diet eh? except for the fact that my throat has been desperately sore for a few days and I decided that raspberry sherbert is the key to comfort. Sprite has also been high on my list of consumables. Not good diet food but has kept me more comfortable.

am very sad that my challenges have fallen by the wayside and that my food diary has been neglected. Thinking about another week of recovery and then begin again. I hope it doesn't take a week, but am trying to be patient with myself. I haven't been this sick in a really long time.

Ambrosine, sometimes you have to set the journal aside, and when you are sick is one of those times. Get lot's of rest, sleep, fluids and feel better soon. Don't worry about the challenges, they will be here when you are able to get back to them. It is all about getting back on the horse, just be sure you get back on!

Thanks so much all. I am slowly moving around today. Actually spend time out of bed and in an upright position. Yep, gotta get back on the horse soon. Trying to be patient and as understanding with myself as I am with the rest of the family when they are ill. Thanks BuffyBear for the comment on the raspberry sherbert. Truly it helps. As much as I believe the sherbert is good for my throat and it was one of the only things I could eat for days, I still felt some guilt over it! LOL...oh the things we do to ourselves! Thanks friends. I sincerely appreciate your comments!
