I don’t know how people do it who have to work with the public. It was bad enough before C-19 but it’s a lot worse now.
Your customer’s meltdown says nothing about you and everything about him. That’s not easy to remember “in the moment,” I know. Draw from those customers who appreciate all you do for them! You’re doing a hard job and the stress can’t be healthy for weight control - or anything else. Pamper yourself when you get home if you can. Try to stay with your new food regime too, the satisfaction of being in control of that at least, might help offset your discouragement at work.
Hope some of this helps you! 💕

Interactions with strangers like this are part of the reason I don’t leave my house.
Stay strong 💪

Be kind to yourself! No one's opinion matter more than your own, and to be honest, your opinion is often skewed anyhow! You're here, which means your working to have a healthier body. The key word there is healthier.. Not skinnier. If thinner happens because you're healthy then great, if not then also great!
Psychologically speaking, these kinds of people have such internal sadness, you should try to change your perspective and instead of being angry, be sad for them. It's easier said then done I know, but think about it, they are going around trying to hurt Stangers, imagine how they treat the people they care about? Shifting perspective is fkn hard, and I'll admit to it, I often internalize my anger about others. But that sits within me, and they get to go about their day happy. I would rather mourn their lives a bit and move forward with my own.

I managed a restuarant. He was trying to get freebies. That's why he called 3 times. Called hoping to get a different manager each time and was going to called back until he got what he wanted...I have seen it many times. Don't let some idiot trying to get a freebie ruin your day. Just not worth it!?

I agree completely with what has been said before here. What’s really important is that his behaviour doesn’t trigger you. You are precious no matter what your body size….FULL STOP🤗🥰

sounds like a guy I had to deal with.. I had one guy do this to me during supper rush and in the middle of my section too.
They were getting food bought for them from other tables and they owed me for fries .. that's it.
Anyhoo.. let the names and such fly and yelled to my manager that I'm a horrible and fat and should be fired. etc etc.
He stood up out of the booth.. 6'0+.. okay. that's when I go into the back and call 911 ..anyhoo.
Some people don't want to have a filter and that's usually a reflection of themselves. If we listen to every person that put us down..geezers. wouldn't make it.
Be gentle and kind with yourself.
He ended up going to jail that night for outstanding warrents.. (my cop buddies told me the next day. )
