I have been searching on line about exercise and what is the best diet, and I found a Stanford University study that said that the Atkins plan works best (after a year of research!) for overall health - it lowers cholesterol, increases good ldl and reduces bad hdl (or vice versa, not sure). It also helps reduce blood pressure. The youtube video was an hour long and well worth the time. I have decided to start following their recommendation which is lots of protein, complex carbs (veggies, more veggies!), and cutting out breads and grains. Today was the first day - I feel pretty good, and felt full all day, so I think this could work. I have to get some eggs! And I already have (and love!) bacon.
My last meeting as the parent association president was today - I was sad, but I am glad that is over!
