What was supposed to be just a week-2 weeks break from logging turned into much longer than anticipated.
I was pretty much gone all of April. The road trip to California was definitely something. For the most part I did well with my food choices. But it was a road trip with a teenager! Lol! Emotionally, it was very draining & exhausting.
The driving part with my son was awesome. The rest was a lesson. Never doing a trip like that again without my husband. Not that I can’t stand up for myself, there’s just less I have to stand up for or tolerate when he’s with me.
The weight has fluctuated up and down between 5-6 pounds. From the change in weather, going from cold weather to hot weather = lots of inflammation, to spring break and the emotional event of taking my nephew who’d been living with us for 9 months to navy boot camp, to getting Covid. Again. Lol. The first time was right before everything got shut down and there wasn’t a vaccine. This time I had the vaccine, it was no where near as bad as going through it unvaccinated, but definitely still kicked my butt. The husband and kids got it, too. None of them had had it before. My guys had no symptoms or fever, my little miss had symptoms like an annoying cold that lasted about 3-4 days and that was it, praise the Lord.
I’m glad to be back and start getting back on track. I’ve definitely missed the friends I’ve made on here.
