After Week One+, I have decided that, at least for now, my correct RDI is 1600 (With the range of 1200-1600) calories per day.
I would like my protein to be 35% (With the range of 10-35%).
I will try these perimeters for a while and see what happens.
These are figures I have located through several reliable resources, and they agree, and my experience since I started utilizing fatsecret.
This is not the first time I have been on an eating plan (diet) so I need to figure it out for myself. Something realistic.
The others (and they all worked successfully for a long time) were:
1. Jack La Lanne, of low-medium calories and of portions that were low fat, with protein shakes. It encouraged exercise.
2. University of Arizona, of 1/2 portions and the food pyramid. It required 6-7 mile hikes on a regular basis. We used to go together in a group to Tucson's Sabino Canyon. It included health testing and classes. It had a limited pre-screened membership.
3. Atkins 2010, levels 1 and 2, of low carbs and with emphasis on high veggies. I utilized an Atkins online support group, which Atkins discontinued when it rearranged it's website.
I would like this current way of eating to be of realistic food in realistic portions with realistic RDI and fats, carbs, and proteins. I don't want to it to be a diet, but just healthy eating. fatsecret will be used daily to assist me.
