It is always nice to grab a friend or family member to walk with you. My group gets to talking and next thing you know we completed 6 miles when we had only planned 4.

Yes!!! That's one of my fave past times. Malls are fun too. So is the beach, lakes, and parks.

Way to trick that fat brain! I have to do the same thing. If I am working on a project I have no problem with being very active.

Good for you! Walking is such an under rated form of cardio and it’s joint friendly too! Keep it up 👍

WTG - that is a huge accomplishment...keep it up! If we can keep walking - it will be good.

IMO: Exercise only makes you more fit. It doesn't lead to weight loss because to body becomes more efficient at using what resources you have stored.

What a great idea! If you have a mall, you probably have "Mall-walkers" who walk every day.

Forcing yourself to exercise is only going to be temporary. Finding ways to incorporate moving more into your daily life is going to be something that you can stick with for the rest of your life.
Nice job 👍

That is correct - exercise does not make you lose weight - but you need to move "that stuff around" - walking through Walmart is a fantastic idea - and many other FS members do the same thing. What ever gets you moving around for your life...and if you stop one thing - then take up something else.

It get so much easier as you drop the pounds. I started at 280, so I know. I find it very useful to have a dog. The dogs get me out for longer walks, rain, sleet or shine.
My husband does 2 miles in the AM and I do 2 miles in the PM. It keeps us both moving. Sometimes we go together, but the dogs always need the walks, otherwise they get antsy.
