No pix today since I've not eaten. Too busy trying to put out a woods fire! After hours battling it, I just accepted it was more than I could handle and called the fire department. Took 2 more hours for them to stop it. Meanwhile, I suffered smoke inhalation, low BP but high heart rate (and tachy). I had to receive IV fluids right on my picnic table! Upshot, I weighed after the ordeal. Up 2.5# just from that bag of saline! Now I'm in bed, oxygen canula up my nose, hoping all this fluid exits quickly.

Glad you are safe and had the strength to call for help when you needed it. Hope you recover quickly and there wasn't too much damage done by the fire

How terrifying!!! We had an increased fire danger here yesterday and the neighbor had a huge blaze going. We had to leave the house and were glad things turned out okay. I hope you have a speedy recoery!

Thank you all for such kind, caring thoughts. No serious damage, just lots of burned under growth, saplings, and such. I had kept the fire at bay from my cabin, the bathhouse, and my RV! I'm still on oxygen this morning, lots of chest congestion from the smoke. And the gift that keeps on giving...stiff, sore, achy body! Just resting today.

Yes, but the good news. The fire is stopped. And your weight gain only has to do with the saline drip not excess eating. IT WILL GO AWAY. :)

Thank you all for the prayers and thoughts. I'm getting better as the day progresses, but still on oxygen. And the IV fluids finished their run...down to 144.8!!

Thank you Jopenn. I'm still a tough ole bird at 63, but I definitely knew when to stop, that the fire was beyond my control and physical ability. The treatment I received from EMS was the best, spot on! If not for them, I might actually have ended up in hospital.
