My best month…since I started tracking a year ago. Most time in, most workouts, most calories burned, most gains (I charted it), most obvious change in physique…I am so thankful that this is the result of one of the hardest months in a long time. This month I started with being sick, super high levels of stress, tons of frustrations, the loss of a friend, one of my best friend’s daughter’s wedding (it was stressful for me to), wife having health issues (my biggest stress). When I say this month was a butt kicker all the way around, I mean it. However, there are blessings in endurance. Keep running the race. The prize is at the finish! For those who complete the race. My race is not working out, losing weight, or some body metric, it is faithfully and continually submitting and obeying Christ. My cup has seemed empty all month, but the fruit is apparent and God is good. Humbled, blessed, honored…and tired, there are still stresses, and there is so much more to be done. A lot of people ask me how we keep our sanity with 10 kids, and I have to say, Christ walks with me, His Spirit nurtures me, and He knows my name.
