I’m so sorry for you, for your loss and for your family. I lost my father in 2017 and not a day goes by where I don’t think about him. He will always be with you, watching over you and making sure you’re okay. It’s going to hurt, a lot, and for a long time. But you will be okay, and it will get better. Overtime, try to focus on turning every moment of pain into reflection on the happy memories that you shared. ❤️

For me it did get better— my dad had a happy, healthy older years. I would never have wanted him to linger on because of my own fear of loss. Death is a part of the life cycle. I was in charge of making the decisions related to how much and how long both of my parents would continue to undergo treatment for their illnesses. I knew when it was time, made the decision and they both agreed with my decision. Today, my brother and sister and I laugh and shake our heads over our parents and our lives and cherish those times, but no regrets that they passed from this earth as easily as possible. I talk to my dad every day, literally, asking his advice and I alway hear his voice telling me what I guess I already knew.
