Went to cardiologist and now had to buy a blood pressure monitor at Costco. I have to monitor once a day for 4weeks. I am also going to stick religiously to the keto diet for that time. Hopefully I can show results stunning enough to keep off any meds . Anyone seen their monitored results go down to a healthier level?

I actually had worse blood pressure while on keto. It's different for everyone.

I don’t do keto (just calorie reduction) but I had dropped 49 pounds on my last Dr.’s visit and my blood pressure reading was much improved! Went from high normal (131/93) to low normal (121/79.) I was happy; and so was my doctor 😊

Try calorie deficit, don't cut out food groups and focus on lean meats, fruits and veggies that would help your weight and blood pressure more. Calculator.net to find your #

Yes, I have. Remember that old saying “an Apple a day keeps the doctor away”?
I read that the pectin in the Apple skin reduces cholesterol so eat one a day Granny Smith. It has the highest level of pectin. My bad cholesterol dropped 2 points in two months. I also drink a mug of hot water every night with Apple cider vinegar. My meds are cut in half and I am aiming to be free of meds by summer. Keep good track, and measure 3-4 times every time you check your BP. It will change, moment to moment.
