Finally went climbing this past Saturday after I injured my hand. I took 2 weeks off. I tried to stay with the lowest level climbs(5.6) and did well = no pain. Though I admit I babied my injured hand (left) the whole time. I was feeling so well and happy that of course I wanted to see if I lost any of my skills and the easier easy climb of each level (5.7, 5.8, 5.9) I was had completed before my injury. Yeah! I was able to send them all.
But by level 5.8 I felt a tinge of pain which happened so I rested until it went away and did the next climb. By the time I finished 5.9 climb, I had sudden pain which brought 😢and a lot of 🤬 for everyone to see and hear.
I dont know why I pushed. The plan was to do the 5.6 climbs only. That was a total of 4 climbs with rest in between. I get this angel/ devil voice in my head that fight with each other. One wants me to stop and says you did well and tells me we will be back next weekend 😇 while the other says you did well what's one more. It cant hurt. 👿
My physical therapist says it's very typical of me to push. And he doesnt know why I dont learn my lesson. I have to agree. I dont know why I dont learn from my past when it comes to physical stuff!
