Draglist's Journal, 16 Jan 22

Woke at 231.6, up 3.7 from yesterday. I'm rarely surprised, but this shocked me. Apparently, there was so much sodium in the beef and broccoli that I've retained everything I drank yesterday, including the 44-ounce diet cherry limeade Denise brought me from sonic. Lots of whooshes are coming this week! UPDATE: Weighed 231.5 and then ate a protein packed lunch. Getting all I can before veggie week!

I've signed off on Chinese take out. I don't trust it for salt, MSG and gluten. When we need take out I feel like Indian is better for my requirements. I've gotten pretty picky!

Good move, Erika. I usually only have their steamed veggies, but I added the beef and broccoli this time. Lesson learned.

Stir fry is so EASY to make, you will not go back to take out! Cut your steak (or buy already cut) into thin slices and sauté in butter until browned. Add onion if you like, then all your other favorite veggies. Add soy sauce (no need for additional salt), and a little water to dilute it. Cooks in just a few minutes.

I don't know ... there is a lot to be said for sweet & sour pork and fortune cookies!

My downfall with Chinese food is the wontons.

Thanks, Shea. We get it only for the convenience. I would not eat it otherwise! Wontons are amazing, but the fortune cookies never get opened or eaten. Hi, Jergens!
