Hi everyone. I discovered calorie counter on my droid phone last week and just started this program. I'm appr. 110 lbs overweight. I'm 43 years old. I have type 2 diabetes (currently taking 100 units of insulin a day), high blood pressure, and had complete renal failure in February of last year. You would think all of that would have been enough to motivate me to change my eating and exercising habits...but apparently it wasn't. Now my husband (46 years old) has been told he has a blockage in his heart and they are doing a heart cath next week. That absolutely motivated me to change the way I cook and get this family's health under control! So...I'm hoping that joining this site and talking with others that are struggling with the same problems I have will help me to stick with the program and save our lives:-). So...here we go:-)!
