This whole thing is so counterintuitive sometimes! Yesterday I actually ate more than 300 calories above my recommended "cutting" number and the scale went down. I did keep my protein intake up close to 40% (around 36%) and my carbs were pretty low. I think maybe I'm not eating enough. I'm going to try it again today and see what the scale looks like tomorrow. Thank you both for the support! 😁💪🏽💪🏽🥰

Don't forget about the thermic effect of protein. 30% of your protein calories go toward their own digestion so if the percentage is high, you may need to raise calories further to compensate.

@Ettenauj I'm actually cutting. I keep my protein high but staying in a deficit to lose fat while I retain muscle mass while on the cut. Appreciate the encouragement 🙏 🙌 😁

@Diablo360x how much protein do you recommend? I'm 6'1". I'm used to about 200g per day but the day before the big drop I had eaten 223g and about 300 to 400 calories more than my usual 2156. Any thoughts?

200 is fine. Also, even at 2400 calories, you should be in a good deficit. Keep it up.
