I don't know guys. I'm struggling. I've lost 13 kg on my own when I went vegetarian. now that I eat meat I just fail every time. I just don't have the motivation.

can totally relate. when i was vegetarian a few years back i was at my lowest weight. lost about 20kgs in one year. Most of it came down to the fact that my eating choices were limited so i was just eating less. Hardly ate out, didnt drink alcohol. its much easier not to pig out when the only options you have are the salad and fries. fast foward to now. its much harder because a night out means a burger, fries, beer. easily 1500 calories. The only saving grace for me atleast is that meat is high in protein and fat. Those keep me fuller for longer. It still a uphill battle but as long as you remember that weight loss comes down to consuming fewer calories. it wont seem as difficult

I went through the same thing when I ate meat. Having a diet with very little restrictions made it easy to indulge in junk food. Meat isn't inherently unhealthy, however the meat that most people consume is completely devoid of any real nutrients and is very high in calories. I went vegetarian about 3 years ago and I gotta say, I lost more weight than I bargained for, didn't complain though. Now, I'm not saying you have to go vegetarian again or completely cut out certain foods in order to lose weight, however having a few restrictions can really go a long way. Maybe you can incorporate more vegetables in your meals, reduce your meat consumption to only once or twice a week, or you could fast every other day. Try to find out what works for you and what doesn't. Don't give up.

There are definitely health benefits to being vegetarian. The meat replacement products don't have the unhealthy fat that animal flesh does. But it's personal choice. Maybe cut the amount of meat you consume. Look at alternative protein sources like eggs and beans.

Thanks guys. I got very sicj when I went vegetarian even when I just added fish and chicken eventually. My body didn't agree with it. I will figure it out. Just very frustrating.
