Cortisol water retention dropped once you ate an appropriate amount of calories. Rest assured, you lost fat if you were eating very little.

I tried weight watchers twice and it never worked for me, I was always hungry and didn’t lose weight. This works a lot better. My mother does WW and has lost 40 pounds since February, I guess it does work for some. To each his own!!! Good luck!!

Congratulations! I've been way under the recommended calories and exercising throught most days and it seemed the scale just kept going up. I'm finally down 10 lbs.

Great Claire & CONGRATS! Same thing happened with me. I had lost 30 lbs on WW & couldn’t get the last 7 lbs off till I increased my calories! I’ve tried to return to WW but need to keep the carbs down so trying this FREE site doing my 1st mini challenge. The money WW hits you for is
Crazy but whatever works. Everyone is different! I think small goals are easier to manage. Good luck here. I’m still navigating this site but love it so! 😉

Jergens, those are myths. There is no "stoking the metabolic fire" or famine mode. There is just calories in vs calories out. You can have some metabolic adaptations to dieting but they are not drastic enough to halt fat loss. Also, people lose fat whether with fasting or with several small meals. Total calories are what matter.

Nah, you don't need to eat small meals. That's an old myth. I posted the science refuting it. People lose the same amout of weight whether they fast for 16 hours, 24 hours, or a whole week. I don't suggest it since more lean mass is lost with long term fasting but it still works for fat loss. Meal timing can help with energy in the gym and for more favorable muscle protein synthesis throughout the day, but fat loss will be almost exactly the same with 1 meal or 8 per day.

The "zero points" foods on WW is a myth and totally undermined my success. Happy for your success so far!

Not sure where you're getting that I'm telling people to get all their nutrition from pizza. I'm only saying some find success on one meal a day(OMAD), intermittent fasting, grazing all day, etc. Total calories are what matter. Nutrition should be a priority as well as protein intake.

"Strange as it sounds ... you have to eat all of the time ... to lose weight." - a quote from your original post in here. It really doesn't matter what you studied. This is a myth. That's all I'm saying.
