Well, today was my 58th birthday. It's been a very productive and enjoyable day. I rose early and completed the last several case studies for a new software system that we are switching to next month.
My wife gave me my birthday gift. It was a Soda Stream machine to make home made sodas. I've been wanting one and can't wait to try it out.
Then I went and picked up my 4 year old granddaughter. She and I took a train trip on a historic train up to Bertram, Texas, visited a 103 year old train depot and rode the train back. It was a wonderful 3 hour excursion. After the train trip, we went by the Scuba shop and I picked up the course materials for my diving course coming up this weekend. While there, I found that the new dive equipment that I ordered had arrived, so I got to try on my new BCD and regulator and check out my gauges and dive computer. I'm really anxious to try out the new Force Fins that I bought. I also scheduled a class in Nitrox diving for next Monday. After the dive shop, we went to Outback Steakhouse for a great lunch, before I dropped her back off to her parents.
After returning home, I took the final exam for the 20 hour class I've been taking on the new software system and passed with a 90%. So all in all, its been a good day.
Now its time for a little dinner, and then I'm going to start cracking the books on the Scuba course. I need to have the entire book read and quizzes done before Saturday, so at least, I won't be board the rest of the week...lol.
I hope y'all have a wonderful downhill run to the weekend.
