You can be addicted to food and still be a success in your weight loss journey. You do not want to surpress your appetite, you want to control it. You prob just need to eat smaller portions of healthier options and more often. I know it sounds like the same 'ol info you have been hearing for years...but it works. I have been yo yo dieting for years and wasn't able to find what clicked until I started to track my food and I realized that I was wasting my calories. I was eating only 2-3 times a day and not choosing the best options for my body. Keep that in mind too...you need to feed your body, not your emotions. So, don't give up, just put a spin on your current view of food. You CAN do it!

Hi Nicole - you could try adding fruit and vegetables to your diet, they can be very filling and low calories - might also help with your sugar cravings.

I was there too - try eating fruit when you feel the cravings, get a variety of fruit, at first your brain will ask "are you kidding me". But keep on it, avoid all processed sugar and just eat the fruit, you'll be amazed in a few weeks you'll drool when you see the fruit aisle and chocolate just won't taste as good. I now only have dark chocolate about once a month, even the "frozen chocolate pudding" I eat has no sugar in it.

I understand all too well. One of things I've had to do this time is avoid sugar and processed foods. One bite of the wrong thing can set me into binge eating (where I will eat anything and everything I can find, and then some). Sometimes in life it is hard, but we just need to manage to have more good days than bad. Plan, plan, plan and journal, journal, journal. Don't skip breakfast. Plan your breakfast the night before, that way you are not tempted to eat something quick and processed or wait until lunch where you overeat for lunch, plus eating breakfast breaks the fasting from sleep and gets your metabolism burning. Everyone here has posted some great ideas. Keep on keeping on. You can do it sweetie!
