Apparently if you hit a plateau because your body gets used to the calories you can use what is called zig zag dieting which ups calories on one or two days a week to shock your system. Haven't tried it. Google it and see what it's about

I haven't lost more by increasing calories but I have had a day of eating more (yes I gained) and then going back to calorie deficit to get things moving again. this was when I was in the 70s. My goal now is 60 and it's very difficult. I do IF 18:6 but only loose on my extended fasting days. I do them every 4 to 5 days.

Soooo I'm doing something different at the moment might be worth a try, I've usually been one for very mild intermittent fasting meaning 6 meals a day with about 3 hours between meals. Consuming between 1500 and 2000 calories. This worked well I lost alot of weight because I do alot of spinning.. It stopped working though... And I started gaining weight.. So now I'm doing a 2400 calorie daily with very small meals throughout the day I eat these calories in 14 meals daily and I must say I've now started loosing weight over three weeks I've lost 2.4kg and I'm excited to see how it's gonna go!! Lol know your body different things work for different people and one does need to keep changing to keep improving and changing there isn't 1 way of doing this there are a ton of ways

Some days I struggle to meet my calorie requirements, then other days I go a little over. I am still in the beginning so my weeks weight loss zig zags. I have however seen that they talk about calorie cycling. Meaning you don't eat the same amount of set calories everyday, so that the body does not get used to a set amount. eg: if your normal daily calories to sustain = 2400 calories you create a 500 deficit = 1900 calories so you cycle but obviously try not to go over the 2400... and then obviously not go under 1200 calories.

I would suggest you increasing cardio. Focusing on calories per say as most have suggested only helped to an extent. The best way to really burn calories is through a combination of workout. I personally don't believe in IF as it gets rid of fat but doesn't help with muscle growth which assists in a lifetime of health benefits than just merely losing weight

Yes for sure, the past year I have learned alot about calorie intake and what not, I upped my calorie intake to 2400 and started lifting weights and it has made the world of difference. My main focus is no longer cardio either which it always was in the past, I just try to ensure I reach my 10k steps per day.

Yes, I do, 1400 calories. Usually I only did lunch and dinner. I am doing weights and little cardio.

yes definitely. I use to only eat one meal a day. I now have 3 meals plus 2 snacks a day - about 1400 calories and I'm losing weight.

ones body needs to eat every 3 hours.... so having 3 meals and 2 snacks a day helps. But all must be less than you put out per day namely exercise and steps ect....
