On Monday I took all my measurements and weighed. I was pretty disgusted with myself and how easily I had picked up 20kg since COVID started. I had gotten on the exercise wagon and fallen off so many times, tried eating plans and fad diets, on and off like a yo-yo.

I told myself I would start yesterday but had no idea where to start and what I would eat. All I knew is that I need to consume 1386 calories per day and drink 2.5l water.

I had a lite Sandwich for breakfast, drank black coffee because I had my milk allowance for the day. Ate a boiled egg with tomato for lunch and a piece of sausage and green salad for dinner.

I ate a little naughty snack.

This morning I felt more awake and energised than I have in a whole year.

Wow your story sounds like mine. Sounds like you did very well yesterday... I too am looking to shed 20+ kilos, been trying OMAD for a few days but today it feels like my body needs 'more' because I'm heading into shark week. So I ate earlier because I didn't want to feel starved, once I feel like I can I'm going back to omad... Anyway, all of the best. I've had so many day ones and it still happens we are only human. Thank you. What is OMAD if I May ask. I May have heard of it but the acronym sounds foreign now. I’m just taking this one day at a time focusing on water intake today and trying not to run to the chips right now. I need to lose about 40kg to reach my ideal weight but trying not to think of the big number but rather break it down.

One Meal A Day, the way I understand it is you eat all your days calories in an hour... Im not necessarily counting calories ATM but I definitely prefer having a set time to eat and knowing that the rest of the time is for fasting so I don't even get tempted for that luxury because it's not time to eat... Not sure that makes sense? I'm struggling today though. Some days are easier than others. I get overwhelmed with my 20 kilo loss ahead, I've told myself to make the first goal 10kg so that it seems more doable. Lol. Goodluck on your journey.

Sjoe one meal a day in an hour. I take my hat off to you that you’re doing this. That’s amazing. Wow. I am going to try losing in increments of 5kg. I am trying to eat as healthy as possible to maintain the caloric deficit and snack during the day. Also joined my medical aids wellness club for the training videos and accountability of having to weigh in. I pray I can stick to this. Wishing you all the best on your journey. Remember, today is almost over and tomorrow is a new day to try!
