I have been reading expert stall busters advice! Ready? A) Eat Double or more of your usual calorie intake! Lord help me! B)Increase your water drinking to accommodate the digestion of excess calories. I am a water drinker and feel like I am just about drowning in water now! C)Sleep 9-12 hours a night to increase metabolism! I am doomed people! The most I ever sleep 5-6 hours and then my eyes pop open and that’s it sleeps over. So all of this expert advice sounds pretty suspect to me! There is a point where a person can drink too much water, and it’s not beneficial at all! Doubling caloric intake?? Isn’t that called the Holidays??? And people go into a Turkey coma! Anyone broke a stall with this fabulous advice??? Then why does everyone start their diet on New Years?? The number 1 Resolution??😂😂

You can actually die from drinking too much water, but it's an awful lot. Best way to increase your metabolism is exercise. It just takes a while.

But you are not very far from the goal… I wouldn’t worry about the plateau. Doubling the intake sounds nuts to me. I did that last week and the result was appalling 😭

The sleep bit works, but like you I sadly tend to Dolphin sleep. I didn't double calories but I mixed things up by including foods I had eliminated for a while and adding a few more calories in. I hate plateaus😑, you're gonna beat this.

Hi Liz, it is the name of a sleep pattern that describes walking up during the sleep cycle and then going back to sleep after awhile, in other words the sleep cycle is interrupted similarly to a dolphin that is swimming along and then jumps out of the water then to splash back in and continue sleeping.

Ettenauj, that's fascinating. I have periodic limb movements in sleep. It's related to restless legs syndrome, but instead of just feeling restless my arms and legs move around. It used to wake me up throughout the night. I actually dislocated a hip a couple times, which made me stop being stubborn and start taking the meds. It's been a lot of trial and error, but I'm on something that helps, so I get better sleep. Long way of saying, I feel your pain and I hope you get a lovely night's sleep tonight.
