Today is going to be a tough day for me. Our son is having us over for lunch for our daughter's 24th birthday. Ready for the menu...spaghetti and meatballs and garlic bread! and then ice cream cake! Ok, so it isn't that those are my fav. foods because they are not, but I don't want to hurt his feelings with his new apartment and his first meal for us. So I asked if he would mind if I brought spaghetti squash for me (although still high in carbs 6 carbs vs 24carbs is better), then i'll just have a smidgen of sauce as I'm sure there will be sugar in it and I don't want to ruin his day with a hundred questions of how he prepared it. I'll have 1 meatball as there will be breadcrumbs of some sort in it. Ugh it is killing me to eat things I don't want to! I am bringing the salad so I will have my 2 cups of salad with lunch. Now the ice cream cake that my daughter and I made from scratch per son's request (ya making that last night and keeping my fingers out of it was hard!)..I am going to opt out and hope my daughter's feelings don't get hurt. I am bringing 1/2 cup raspberries with 3 tablspoons cream that I froze together and will eat that as my dessert but quietly as to not take the thounder away from my daughter's first ever made icecream cake. ok so in theory this should go well. Then at night we are having company for the superbowl! But I can have control over what I have to offer in my house so it'll be ok. Time to get ready for church.
