the weekends are hard for me because I usually eat with family. they know i want to lose weight but they always offer me chocolates and cake anyway. they don't even know I'm trying to eat less animal products. I'm not mentally ready for that conversation yet. so yesterday i had pizza and chocolate cake and cookies. they really aren't clicking that they are not helping and it is so draining to say no all the time when they offer me something. i think i would have been much further by now if it wasn't for that.....

Sometimes you have to give your family some tough love and stick with the no.....They'll get it ......fingers crossed.....eventually :)

You are not alone. Nearly every dieter encounters this problem. Sadly, it would be truly exceptional if you DID have meaningful support. People are crabs in a bucket. Expecting otherwise is setting yourself up for disappointment. And with another excuse for remaining fat. The only solution is to accept the fact that getting lean and healthy, or becoming a better version of yourself in any way, is a selfish endeavor. As such, you must prioritize your success - your diet and fitness - over both your need to fit in and their need for you to remain as you are. The trick is to set this boundary without turning oneself into an insufferable diet warrior...Let's go! #getserious #mindset #grindtime

Lallie make a list of the reasons you are on this journey, one of which is likely to become the healthiest version of you, this journey is important and life changing, be strong and say no to those foods which will hinder your progress, you don't need to explain your choice to people if you don't want to, but you must choose what is best for you. Also mix a salad and take with you to the family dinners, a large bowl that everyone can share, and fill your plate very full with that salad so that when you add the other foods being passed around the portion sizes are very small. We're in this thing together, my extended family loves baking and I said to them I don't really eat flour and especially not white flour, so they began baking with wholewheat, I take a little taste of what they made now and then just to be able to let them know it's yummy. So remember to focus on your goals, we are gonna win by making those good choices each day, string those days of good choices together and that's the victory. May God bless you on your journey🙏🏽💕
