Good morning! I am up and ready to meet my friend at the gym. I have really great TMI news....the chia seeds work amazingly! I won't go into detail but very healthy! Woo hoo! I hope everyone has a wonderful day.

ps...I forgot to mention I had to bag up at least the chocolates and put them in the cupboard. A woman only has so much willpower! LOL!

What is Chia seeds, this is the 2nd time this morning, I seen someone post about them....?

Chia seeds are awesome in some cases better than flax seed, very high in antioxidants.

Hmm, so you would use them in the same type of recipe's just substitute, huh, haven't seen them, but then again wasn't looking, will keep my eyes open next shopping trip...thanks Nelson.

Chia seeds are are as tiny as poppy seeds and have no taste so you sprinkle them in your food even salads and in coffee if you wanted to. They are so fiberous if put in water and stirred after 10 min it would disolve into gel. So that is how fast it disolve in our intestines and the gel grabs everything on its way out with it! You don't need to crush them because they disolve so easily. 1Tablespoon has 4 grams carbs and 4 grams fiber = 0 net carbs...and like gizmonel stated is an antioxidant and also high in omega 3. And it makes you regular!

Can you buy Chia seeds at the grocery store?

possibly if they have a health food section. I bought my bag of them at A Market a health food store in my area.

I am loving my chia seeds! Today is day 2 on them and so far so good! Made them into a gel for my smoothies. Upping it slowly just in case LOL

I tried them from my health food store and they didn't help me but I have SEVERE constipation... I take Senna...my doc said it's safe and it keeps me regular...

Ok this is going to be way TMI but....I started on Saturday and I have been sprinkling about 3 tablespoons a day on my meals. Sunday and today I have had the most perfect bowel movements one each morning and then in the later day and they are full solid bms that came out easy. I have always been a very constipated person with issues off and on. I am so happy how something so healthy can work so good!

They will also act like a CORK if you don't drink enough water, so be sure to drink PLENTY of water with any fiber bulker. If your stool is too loose they will help cut the water in it as well, so they work both ways to make a loose stool more solid and a hard stool softer. (Old nurse's trick)
